A
12-year old city kid Tomi moves with his dad to a farm near
the northernmost wildlife park in the world. There, the boy
befriends a captive lynx; when the park decides to sell the
lynx abroad, the boy sets it free. Bred in captivity, the lynx
at first can’ t survive in the wild on it’s own,
and Tomi has to help it. Terror of the predator grows in the
village until a lynch mentality prevails. The local authorities
and reindeer herders make every effort to capture the lynx,
but Tomi succeeds in preventing them. Then a poacher takes a
snowy wilderness bent on hunting down the lynx : a merciless
chase begins, in which the boy and the lynx must fight for their
lives.
